A Margaret Logan is listed in the following Old Rappahannock County, Virginia court records of 1686/1687. While no specific evidence has been found to indicate she was related to the four Logan brothers, there is also no evidence to rule out this possibility. Old Rappahannock County was not far from Spotsylvania County, Virginia where William Logan, the presumed father of the four Logan brothers, first appeared in the records in 1725.

This day came the parties by their Attornies and the Defendant relinquishes his
former Plea and saith he cannot gainsay the Plt.'s action nor but that he is indebted
to the Plt. nine pounds, fifteen shillings, and seven pence and one thousand sixty eight
pounds of tobacco. Therefore it is considered by the Court that Plt. recover against
Deft. the money and tobacco and his costs by him about his suit in this behalf expended
and the Deft. in mercy, &c., And the Plt. agrees to allow all such paiments as
the Deft. can make appear to have paid the Plaintif in discharge of this Judgment.

on motion of Plt. by his Attorney it is ordered Judgment be entered for the Plt.,
that he have Execution against the Deft. according to the force form and effect of the

ARCHIBALD CUNISON, assignee of LODWICK FARMER, Plaintiff,
against JOSEPH LIGGON, defendant, in debt.
This day came the Plaintiff by PAUL CARRINGTON, his
attorney, and the Defendant in his proper person, and the
Defendant says that he cannot gainsay the action of the
Plaintiff against him, nor but that he owes the Plaintiff 30
£, as the Plaintiff has alleged. Therefore it is considered
by the Court that the Plaintiff recover against the
Defendant his debt aforesaid, and this costs. But this
judgment, except as to the costs, is to be discharged by the
payment of 15 £, witht legal interest from March 1, 1766, and
by consent of the Plaintiff, it is ordered that execution on
this judgment be stayed till March next.

Defendant hss not performed the condition of the writing
obligatory in the declaration mentioned as the Plaintiff
above against him has alleged, and do assess the damages of
the Plaintiff by reason thereof, besides his costs, to 5 £.
Therefore it is considered by the Court that the Plaintiff
recover against the Defendant his damages aforesaid, and his
costs.

The Will of THOMAS STEWART, deceased, was presented in Court

thmeselves the execution thereof), who made [oath] thereto,
and the same being proved by the oaths of 2 of the
witnesses, was ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of
the said CHARLES and his giving
security, [a certificate] was granted him for
obtaining a probate thereof in due form. JOHN LOGAN and
WILLIAM DOUGLASS became his securities and they entered into
and acknowledged their Bond. And it is ordered that JOHN
STEWART, oldest son and Heir at Law of the testator, be
summoned to appear at the next Court to contest, if he
thinks proper, the validity of the proof of the said Will.

utensils and products, horses, cattle, &c., and a "large Bible,

hymns, Life of Washington, Life of Pope, a parcel of old books and
books on surgery."
